Jan Stearns, BC-HIS, CCE-HAD
Hearing Instrument Specialist
I became involved in better hearing through a friend a little over 15 years ago. I followed my new direction with becoming a certified fitter and dispenser of hearing instruments in 2003. The amazing joy that comes from creating a new connection with better hearing care generates my passion for life worth hearing. I offer concierge-level of better hearing care, which focuses on precise custom hearing solutions to meet every individual hearing needs. Patient satisfaction comes through, “Verified Best Hearing”, of their custom hearing solution. I am experienced in fitting hearing aids of advanced hearing acuity operating systems in multiple styles: invisible hearing solution, receiver-in-canal, behind-the-ear, and Cros, Bi-Cros. I can also help you protect your current hearing with custom sound protection and with Soundgear for hunters. My passion is to help patients hear better so they can live better every day and remain connected to jobs, family, and friends.
I grew up in the Texas Hill Country and love calling it home after years of moving across the United States with my husband in the military. I give my service to local non-profits for the hearing impaired and on mission trips to Mexico. My husband of 40 years, Ed, and I love to enjoy life by babysitting the grandchildren, traveling, gardening, renovating our home, going on walks and going to dinner with family and friends.
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
Lee Ann George, HIS
Hearing Instrument Specialist
My career with NewSound Hearing began June 2012, as a part time job. I was to fill in for patient service coordinators who took summer vacations. I had been a stay-at-home mom with my four children, and the youngest was graduating from high school. After the first day on the job, I declared to Karen Nelson, director of admin operations, that I had found my calling. However, I wanted to be a provider And why not? It was my turn to pursue my dreams. I spent the next few years working in various San Antonio area clinics, first as a patient services coordinator, then as a lab tech and then as a hearing instrument specialist-in-training. In October of 2014, I was assigned to the Fredericksburg, Texas clinic, where I have been the provider for three years. Fredericksburg and I have both seen tremendous growth since I first arrived — myself, personally and professionally. I love my job and am forever grateful to those who have mentored me along the way.
Patient Services Coordinator
I am a mid-western girl originally but lived in Colorado for 15 years before moving to Texas in June 2014. I live in Fair Oaks Ranch with my spouse, Jerry, and daughter, Baylee, along with my four-legged children, Riley and Winston. I joined NewSound Hearing after moving to the area in 2014 and love to help connect people to their loved ones.
